Hello Performance Wellness Centre Members,
My name is Dr. Richard and I am the chiropractor here at Performance Wellness Centre, I wanted to take a moment to make you aware of some of the services I am able to provide to you and anyone else who you think may benefit from what I have to offer.
While as a chiropractor the initial focus of my treatments will be on joint related issues such as lower back, neck pain, and headaches; with my background in both personal training and rehabilitation I also do a wide variety of work with shoulders and knees as well as rehabilitation of both new and old injuries that may be holding you back from your exercise goals and causing issues with your daily activities.
My treatment plans are always designed to be as effective as possible and to your comfort level, I can take most insurance policies and you do not require a prescription in order to see me. I also do custom orthotics, compression socks, and TENS units if they are needed.
Thanks for taking the time to read this; if you're interested in booking an appointment you can online at www.performancewellnesscentre.janeapp.com, or you can book a free consultation with me at the front desk if you'd like more information.
Yours in health,
Dr. Richard Warden, DC
(chiropractors) use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of this procedure, also known as spinal manipulation, is to improve spinal motion and improve your body's physical function.
Rehabilitation exercise aims to bring back full function following an injury through restoring muscle strength, endurance, power, and flexibility.
In Soft Tissue Techniques, your chiropractic physician will apply firm, direct pressure to a hypertonic muscle – or an overly toned muscle. The muscle is then stretched and sometimes taped.
PNF Stretching (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation)
PNF is a stretching technique that can improve your Range of Motion. Many therapists use PNF to help people regain their Range of Motion after injury or surgery. However, it can also be used by athletes and dancers to improve their flexibility.
The Neufit System offers a new paradigm in electrical stimulation therapy. This system provides for new methods of neuromuscular re-education and is available as part of Performance Wellness Centre's comphrensive approach to health, wellness, and pain management. We are excited for you to try this non-invasive, regenerative technology for yourself.
In effort to decrease the dominance of the sympathetic nervous system and promote recovery, the NEUBIE is used to perform a “Master Reset”.
MANUAL MUSCLE TESTING
& ACTIVATION
Get the muscles back "on-line" so they can support you during the recovery process.
SCAN THE BODY FOR DYSFUNCTION OR TRIGGER POINTS
Find the spots where the body is protecting or shutting down due to pain or injury.
TREATMENT
Use The Neubie to teach those muscles to work at an even higher level, increase blood flow and set the body up for optimal recovery.
SUCCESS!

Neuromuscular re-education is a term that refers to techniques that retrain the neuromuscular system and return it to proper functioning. Patterns of communication between muscles and nerves allow us to perform simple everyday acts such as walking or climbing the stairs. However, these routine patterns of movement are often disrupted by injuries or specific medical conditions. Neuromuscular re-education aims to re-establish regular patterns of movement in injured people or re-create normal patterns of movement in disabled individuals.
People who benefit from neuromuscular re-education include those with:
And more Healthy people who want to improve their balance, strength, or flexibility may also benefit from neuromuscular re-education.
The NEUBIE is NeuFit’s patented electrical stimulation device. NEUBIE stands for Neuro-Bio-Electric Stimulator. When the NEUBIE is applied with other NeuFit protocols, the system delivers new methods of neuromuscular re-education. The nervous system manages all muscle movements. Consequently, neuromuscular re-education with the Neufit system may help to resolve a movement dysfunction that is contributing to your pain, limiting your mobility, robbing you of your optimal performance, and keeping you from recovering fully.
The NeuFit System is designed to provide higher levels of neurological activation and control to:
The NEUBIE device is unique for several reasons. It applies a pulsed direct current (DC), as opposed to an alternating current (AC). DC fields have numerous favorable biological effects. They have demonstrated the ability to speed up and improve the body’s own physiological processes of tissue repair, healing, and regeneration. It has been long known that DC has a unique impact on the nervous and neuromuscular systems.
When combined with the NeuFit System, the NEUBIE device can provide distinctive effects on the nervous system that contribute to neuromuscular re-education. Many devices other than NEUBIE may claim to provide the same benefits.
However, most of them use alternating current (AC). That makes the devices cheaper and easier to engineer. These AC devices likely don’t have anywhere near the same effect at the cellular level as the NEUBIE does.
